Newsletter May 29, 2017

Dear St. Raphael School Families and Friends,

Enjoy your long weekend as we celebrate Memorial Day today. This is a perfect time to remember and pray for all of our military members who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom, and for our active military members who are currently serving our country. God Bless America!

It’s startling to turn the calendar and see June! It seems like just yesterday that we started this school year. On Thursday, we will say congratulations to our graduating class of 2017! Some people like to say “goodbye” to their graduates, but as we all know, our school community is so close that we never truly say “goodbye.” Please join us for our graduation Mass at 10:00 am and the graduation service at 6:00 pm in the church.

            Last week was a busy week for us as we had our Spring Sing, Junior High play, Field Day, and our Jog-a-Thon Assembly! It’s a true testament on how active our school community is and all that we do! We want to thank all of the parent volunteers that helped make these days so special for us.

            Next Friday, we will have our BBQ for all students that brought in a minimum of $150 for the Jog-a-Thon. We have over 130 students participating and they will have a BBQ lunch, one hour of recess, face painting, special games, and much more! We are looking forward to this fun afternoon and thank everyone for their participation. We are very close to reaching our goal of $31,000! If you still want to make a donation, please drop off your check to the school office! It’s still not too late for your child to participate!

Salve Regina

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy.
Hail my life, my sweetness and my hope!
To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve!
To you do we send up our sighs;
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears!
Turn, most gracious Advocate, your eyes of mercy toward me,
and after this, our exile,
show to us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus Christ!
Clement, loving, sweet Virgin Mary!

St. Raphael, Pray for Us!
