Dear St. Raphael School Families and Friends,

Last Sunday Pope Francis spoke about the limitless love of God and how it leads Him to forgive us time and time again; something we must strive to do for others, no matter how many times they’ve sinned against us.“The forgiveness of God is a sign of his overwhelming love for each of us; it is the love that leaves us free to move away, like the prodigal son, but that awaits our return every day; it is the enterprising love of the shepherd for the lost sheep; it is the tenderness that welcomes every sinner who knocks at his door.”Concluding, the Pope turned to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who he said "helps us to be more and more aware of the gratuitousness and greatness of the forgiveness received from God."May she help us to become as "merciful as He is, the good Father: slow to anger and great in love."

Our Annual Fund only has one week to go! Students are very excited about their entrepreneurial activities and have been out at bake sales, lemonade stands, mowing lawns, collecting recyclables, and much more. You can bring your check to the school office or even donate online at: Let’s see how quickly we can reach not only our goal, but also 100% participation! It is this week that we are hoping that other people such as extended family, friends and community members will give our school a gift for the Annual Fund. We have already brought in over $20,000 and are well on our way to meeting our goal of $42,000.

We want to thank everyone for participating in the Parish Festival. It was a beautiful day filled with fun, community, and celebration. We are truly blessed to be a parish school where every day we learn and work in the shadow of the Eucharist. Thank you, St. Raphael community, and St. Raphael, pray for us!

Our first school Mass was last week. Monsignor Jon blessed our Student Council as school leaders for the year. As always, it was a beautiful way to celebrate as a school community.

Prayer to St. Raphael
Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners. I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the “medicine of God” I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. I especially ask of you the favor (here mention your special intention), and the great grace of purity to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
