Dear St. Raphael School Families,
As we prepare for Palm Sunday next weekend, we step into the holiest time of the liturgical year. This final Sunday of Lent marks the beginning of Holy Week, leading us through the events of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection.
Palm Sunday recalls the triumphant arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem, where He was welcomed with palm branches and cries of "Hosanna!" Yet, this joyful procession foreshadows the suffering He will endure for our salvation. The palm branches we receive at Mass symbolize peace and victory, reminding us that Christ is the true King—not one of earthly power, but of divine love and sacrifice. The Gospel tells us that Jesus chose to ride a donkey rather than a mighty horse, emphasizing His mission as the Prince of Peace rather than a worldly conqueror.
As we enter this sacred time, let us reflect on how we, too, welcome Jesus into our hearts. How can we prepare ourselves spiritually to walk with Him through Holy Week? Let us embrace prayer, acts of service, and moments of quiet reflection, drawing closer to the mystery of God’s love.
We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and faith-filled dedication of our St. Raphael School community. Your commitment to fostering both the academic and spiritual growth of our students is a true blessing.
May this upcoming week be one of prayer, reflection, and renewal for you and your families. Let us journey together toward the joy of Easter, with hearts full of faith and hope!

Prayer for Lent
Loving God, we thank you for the journey of Lent, a time of reflection, repentance, and renewed focus on your love and grace. We have sought to turn away from sin and embrace your path of righteousness, and we are grateful for the opportunity to grow closer to you. As we approach Easter, the celebration of your Son's resurrection, we ask for your continued guidance and strength. May we enter this holy season with hearts filled with hope, joy, and a deep sense of your presence. May we be renewed in spirit and empowered to live lives that reflect your love and compassion. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. Amen.
