Rejoice! The Lord is Near!
This week, we are filled with the radiant joy of Gaudete Sunday, a beautiful reminder to "rejoice" as we journey closer to the celebration of Christ's birth. With hope and love already glowing brightly, we now light the pink candle of joy, symbolizing the nearness of our Savior.
Saint Paul’s words echo in our hearts: “The Lord is near.” This profound joy arises from the fulfillment of prophecy—the arrival of the Messiah—and reminds us that the Lord is present with us, here and now. Through our acts of love and generosity, we see Christ working among us, bringing light to darkness and life to the weary. Let us hold fast to this joy and anticipation as Christmas draws near!
