Dear St. Raphael Families,
Today we celebrated the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with our amazing third-grade class. We honored our Blessed Mother as she was conceived without sin so she could be the Mother of Our Savior. Let us thank Mary for her “fiat,” or yes, to God’s will. May we all learn from Mary and fully trust in God.
As we immerse ourselves in the second week of Advent, we joyfully rekindle the candle of hope and illuminate the second purple candle representing love. In this season, we are reminded that God is love, and we reflect on the profound gift of Jesus—the embodiment of divine love who graced us as a babe in a manger, lived among us, faced the cross, and triumphantly rose again! Love endures forever, a sentiment that resonates deeply during this sacred time.
Let us contemplate the anticipation of Mary as she awaited the birth of Our Lord and Savior. In a parallel manner, we, too, are called to anticipate and prepare the way for the Lord in our lives. Mary's unwavering willingness to fulfill God's plan serves as a guiding light, encouraging us to emulate her example. During this season, let's reflect on the positive influences in our lives, expressing gratitude for those who serve as beacons of inspiration.
