Dear St. Raphael Families,
Welcome to Catholic Schools Week!
This week, we celebrate everything that makes our school community extraordinary—our dedicated staff, supportive parents, and amazing students! On Tuesday, all Catholic school students will gather for a special Mass at our Catholic High School, celebrated by our new regional bishop. What a beautiful way to come together in faith and unity!
Global Day of School Play
Next Wednesday, February 5, we’re excited to join schools worldwide for the Global Day of School Play! This special day highlights the importance of unstructured play, allowing students to tap into their creativity, build independence, and strengthen communication skills. Studies show that free play reduces anxiety, depression, and even narcissism, making it an invaluable experience for our children.
Here’s how we’re keeping it simple and fun:
1️. No Screens: Students can bring toys (no electronics, please!).
2️. No Structure: Adults will step back and let students take charge.
3️. Stay Out of the Way: Teachers will intervene only for safety reasons.
We hope this sparks a tradition of free play at home, reminding us all to appreciate the amazing world God has created for us!
❤️ Hearts from Home ❤️
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we’re continuing our cherished tradition of sending “Hearts from Home” to servicemen and women around the globe. Each student is invited to create at least five Valentine’s cards, paired with prayers for those who protect and serve. Let’s share love and blessings with those who give so much!
Rio Carnivál Auction – February 22!
Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening at the Rincon Beach Club as we celebrate our annual auction with the vibrant theme of Rio Carnivál! This is our second main fundraiser of the year, and it promises to be a night of fun, laughter, and community—all in support of our amazing school.

We’re asking each family to fulfill their commitment by contributing $300 or the equivalent in gift cards or services. Now’s the perfect time to ask your favorite nail salon, barber, restaurant, or local shop to support our school.
Let’s make this an unforgettable celebration of our community’s generosity and spirit. I can’t wait to see everyone there!

A Prayer for Our School
God, our Father and Creator, be with us in our school. Help us to treasure Your gift of life and treat one another with care. Let us always remember that we are all created in Your image. Come, Lord Jesus, and be with us in our school. Guide our teachers, guide our parents, and lead our students to recognize You in all people. Come, Holy Spirit, and be with us in our school. Give us a vision for the future, and the determination for shaping a faith-filled future.
Amen
