Dear St. Raphael School Families and Friends,
On Saturday, our 2nd graders made their First Holy Communion. Watching the little ones all dressed up and eager to receive Jesus for the first time in the Eucharist was heartwarming. Parents, grandparents, friends, and family were all in the church to celebrate this special moment. We want to thank Mrs. Gosney for the time and dedication involved in preparing these children for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. We also want to thank Monsignor Jon for making First Communion memorable for everyone, and for reminding us that every time we go to Mass and receive Eucharist that it is special because we receive Our Lord and Savior, and He is part of us.
Our Jog-a-Thon is this Friday. The kids will be running, running, running for our school! Please make sure that your child comes to school after enjoying a healthy breakfast. Our preschoolers will start the morning by running at 9:00 am. The Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students will run from 9:30 – 9:50 am. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders will run from 9:55 – 10:25 am. The 4th and 5th graders will have their time on the field from 10:30 – 11:00 am, followed by our 6th - 8th graders running from 11:05 – 11:35 am.
We want to thank our sponsors for the Jog-a-Thon this year. Be on the lookout for their logos in the e-newsletter and consider their services the next time you make a purchase. Asking neighbors, friends, and family for a $5 or $10 donation can add up quickly! Let’s see if we can beat our goal of $50,000 this year!
