Dear St. Raphael Families,
As we embark on another exciting week at St. Raphael School, we draw inspiration from the upcoming Feast Day of Saint Mother Teresa of Kolkata on September 5th. Her legacy reminds us to open our hearts to love and extend our hands to serve. In honoring her memory, let’s embrace these virtues, starting with those closest to us. May Saint Mother Teresa's life inspire us to embody mercy and foster compassion in our communities, families, and service to others. Her call to action encourages us to weave kindness and empathy into our daily lives as we strive to answer the universal call to become saints.
A much-anticipated event this week is our Back to School Night on Thursday. We are thrilled to reconnect with you and share important insights about the academic year ahead. Please remember that this event is exclusively for adults. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn about new initiatives designed to enhance the educational experience for all our students.
This year, we’ve added a slight twist to Back to School Night. To accommodate everyone, we have organized two classroom sessions. The first session will begin at 6:00 pm, followed by the second session at 6:30 pm. To ensure a smooth transition between sessions, we kindly ask that parents exit the classrooms promptly after the presentations conclude.
We understand that you may have questions or thoughts you’d like to discuss with your child’s teacher. While our teachers will be fully engaged during Back to School Night, they may not have time for individual conversations. If you need to speak with your child’s teacher, we encourage you to reach out via email to schedule a separate meeting outside of Back to School Night.
We look forward to journeying together this year, guided by the values that Saint Mother Teresa instilled in us. Let’s continue to cultivate a community of learning, compassion, and growth within our St. Raphael School family.

A prayer from Saint Mother Teresa’s Room
People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway.
What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway.
Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.
In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway. ~Mother Teresa
