Dear St. Raphael School Families and Friends,
Last week, we heard one of the most recognizable gospel passages at our daily Mass. Monsignor Jon read John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life.” Many of us know St. John’s passage by heart, or perhaps we have seen sports fans holding up a John 3:16 sign; but every time I hear the passage’s words at Mass, it touches my heart on a deep level, especially right after Easter. The verse describes God’s love and His plan for the happiness of His children. Our God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus so that we as believers enjoy eternal life in heaven!
We are gearing up for our final fundraiser of the year - our annual Jog-a-Thon on Friday, May 12, so it’s time to start gathering your jogging sponsors! This year we are using 99 Pledges to get the news out about our event. Keep an eye out for emails, texts, and our social media campaign that we hope will create excitement in our entire community and garner support for our annual Jog-a-Thon! Our school fundraising is so important to make sure we keep tuition affordable for all families, and we are continuously grateful for all who support our special school.
