This Wednesday, we will gather for Mass at 10:45 AM as we enter the season of Lent—a time of renewal, grace, and reflection. Lent invites us to turn away from sin, embrace God’s mercy, and grow in holiness as we prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter.
As a school community, we will journey through this sacred season together. We invite you to join us each Friday at 1:15 PM in the church for the Stations of the Cross, where we will prayerfully reflect on Jesus’ Passion and sacrifice.
Living Out the Lenten Traditions
Lent is marked by prayer, fasting, and almsgiving—three pillars that help us draw closer to God:
Prayer – Deepening our relationship with God through personal and communal prayer.
️ Fasting – Offering small sacrifices, such as abstaining from meat on Fridays, as an act of spiritual discipline.
Almsgiving – Helping those in need through generosity and acts of kindness.
To live out almsgiving, all students will receive a small house to fill with change or prayers for our unsheltered brothers and sisters at the Father Virgil Cordano Center. This is a beautiful way for our students to practice compassion and service, embodying the spirit of Lent.
Lenten Lunches – Grilled Cheese Fridays!
Fridays during Lent also bring a simple yet delicious meal! Enjoy:
Grilled cheese sandwich with fruit – $5
Tortilla chips with homemade salsa – $2
Lunch is served from 12:00 – 12:35 PM—please ensure your child has money if they would like to participate. Parents, you’re always welcome to join us for a grilled cheese lunch and share in this Lenten tradition with our community!
As we journey through Lent, may we embrace Christ’s love and sacrifice with open hearts and grow in faith together.

Prayer for Ash Wednesday
Gracious God, today begins a period of inner reflection and examination. The days stretch before me and invite me inward to that silent, holy space that holds your Spirit. This special time beckons me to see my life through Christ's eyes and the truth and reality of your love incarnate. Give me the grace to enter the space of these days with anticipation of our meeting. And, when I open my soul to your presence, let your loving kindness flow over me and seep into the pockets of my heart. I ask this for the sake of your love.
