Dear St. Raphael School Families,
We hope this newsletter finds you well as we venture into another exciting week here at St. Raphael School. There's much to share, so let's dive right in!
Last weekend, the US Open witnessed a new champion, Coco Gauff, at just 19 years old. Her incredible athleticism, composure, and professionalism left the world in awe. Beyond her remarkable skills, Coco's faith was on full display as she knelt in prayer after her victory. She shared that she prays for strength to always do her best rather than just for results. At St. Raphael School, we work alongside our families to instill faith in our students and encourage them to cultivate a relationship with Jesus. Congratulations, Coco, for being a shining example of faith and excellence!
As we continue into the first weeks of school, our programs are gradually taking shape. Our fifth graders are immersed in the Wilderness Youth Program, learning how to bike together for upcoming nature adventures. Physical education classes have begun, and our K-2nd graders have started their dance lessons. Our school is abuzz with active and engaged learners!
We have kicked off our Annual Fund campaign with the goal of raising $50,000. These funds support the unique programs that make St. Raphael School exceptional. We kindly ask that you prayerfully consider making a donation during our kick-off. Together, we can make this goal a reality!
Mark your calendars for a special event on Friday, September 29th, at 10:45 am. Our first school Mass of the year will take place, and we'll have the privilege of joining our new Pastor, Father Rolly, for this occasion. It's a wonderful opportunity to come together as a school community, bless our Student Council, and mark the beginning of another fantastic school year. Your presence will make this event even more meaningful.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in shaping the future of our students. If you have any questions or would like to get involved in our school's activities, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you a blessed week ahead!

Please pray this prayer with your child/ren this week as we prepare for the Feast Day of St. Raphael:
Heavenly King, You have given us archangels to assist us during our pilgrimage on earth. Saint Michael is our protector; I ask him to come to my aid, fight for all my loved ones, and protect us from danger. Saint Gabriel is a messenger of the Good News; I ask him to help me clearly hear Your voice and to teach me the truth. Saint Raphael is the healing angel; I ask him to take my need for healing and that of everyone I know, lift it up to Your throne of grace and deliver back to us the gift of recovery. Help us, O Lord, to realize more fully the reality of the archangels and their desire to serve us. Holy angels, pray for us. Amen.
