Dear St. Raphael School Families and Friends,
On Tuesday, our school will be running our first #GivingTuesday campaign. You have all heard of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday but we can’t forget about #GivingTuesday. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Please follow our social media channels and share with all of your friends and family. We have an anonymous donor that will make a donation for each 100 donors that we get on our first #GivingTuesday. Our campaign is about celebrating generosity. Together we celebrate and together we succeed! Please share this url: bit.ly/srsgt18
Next Sunday, we enter into the beautiful season of Advent. In preparation, you might be interested in receiving daily emails from our regional Bishop. You can sign up for free at http://www.adventreflections.com. Join Bishop Robert Barron and thousands of others in this beautiful time of waiting and anticipation for the birth of Jesus!
The Scholastic Book Fair begins next week. All week long, students, parents and friends can enjoy our Book Fair. The biggest day of the week is on Thursday morning - “Dads and Donuts Day!” There are books for people of all ages, and many books make wonderful Christmas presents. Teachers will have their “wish lists” at the Book Fair, as well.
Our annual school Christmas program is on Thursday, December 20th at 6:00 pm in the church. You will want to mark your calendars for this beautiful celebration. The title of the show is “Special Delivery: Wrapped in the Father’s Love.” This program will be a little different but full of joy. Get ready for a one of a kind songs that will keep you singing for days!

A Prayer for Lighting Your Advent Wreath:
as light comes from this candle,
may the blessing of Jesus Christ come to us,
warming our hearts and
brightening our way.
May Christ our Savior bring life
into the darkness of this world,
and to us, as we wait for His coming.
